Is It Compulsory To Have Medical Test After Drink Driving Ban?

Hello

I was banned for 26 months - I did the course and it was reduced by 6 months, my ban expires 12th july 2009. I applied for my licence the other day and I have received it in the post. My question is do I have to have a medical?

Rachel,

Usually the DVLA will inform you if you need to have the drink drive medical test done before sending back your licence. If you have got your licence back, then chances are that you don't need to do the medical test unless you receive a letter from the DVLA through the post asking you to go for that test. Anyway, now that you've got your licence back, you should enjoy getting back at driving.
