You would have been asked about the drink driving rehabilitation course normally at the time of sentencing by the magistrate. If at that time, you had agreed to do the course, you would have had to pay the fees to get enrolled on the course and a certain time period would have been set for you to complete the course. As it stands, I don't think you have been given the option of doing the course by the court.
Therefore, it would be better if you get in touch with a drink driving solicitor and explain that the course would enable you to get the promotion you're after and they will be able to tell you what your next steps are. If you can prove that you badly need your licence back, they might be able to do something for you. So the best thing is to get some
drink driving advice from a solicitor specialising in driving bans.
