52 Days Free Car Insurance

Everyone likes a good discount or free stuff thrown along with some purchase. It makes you feel like you’re getting a very good deal indeed. Sometimes it’s the little extras that you get that make you buy a certain product or service. This is true for many things and car insurance is one of them. Who wouldn’t want to get 52 days free car insurance when purchasing a policy for their vehicle?

In a year, there are 52 weeks and if you’re getting fifty-two days free, it means that you’re getting 1 day free for each week that you’re car is insured, that is, you’re only paying for 6 days worth of insurance a week but are covered for the whole 7 days that make a week.

Theoretically this could work out cheaper because you’re going to pay for 365/366 days minus the 52 days complimentary that you’re getting. However this may not necessarily be the case because if you are quoted £730 in premiums for a year (365 days) and the insurer gives you a discount for 52 days, your net premiums will become £626. That’s all good since you just saved yourself £104 but what if some other insurance company quotes you £550 for exactly the same kind of insurance policy (same level of cover, same features, same benefits). Then obviously you will be losing out even if you’re getting 1 day a week free off your premiums.

The bottom line is that you need to compare quotes from several insurers before you can be sure that you’re getting the cheapest and most convenient insurance policy for your car. Sometimes it might be difficult to get quotes from all the insurance companies available on the market but you can always try car insurance comparison sites to check prices from as many insurers as possible before you make a decision to purchase from one particular car insurance company.
