Insurance quotes vary from insurer to insurer and i would not be able to give you an approximate even if i wanted to. The premiums will depend on how many years driving experience your dad has and how many years no claims bonus (NCB) he holds along with whether you already have a full UK driving license. I suggest that you go to an insurance search engine site (searches over 40 insurance companies at a time to save you the hassle of having to type your details everytime) and fill out the details to see the best deal you get from them and take it from there.
