Can I Take My Time To Do Manoeuvres During Driving Test?

My test is on 21st Jan 10. Can I take my time on doing the manoeuvres in the driving test because when I do the manoeuvres fast and rush it, it goes all wrong? So can I take i.e 5 minutes in performing one of the manoeuvres and getting away with it?

Minu,

You can take as much time as you need as long as it doesn't become a serious inconvenience to other road users. You are not expected to complete a manoeuvre quick and you do not get scored higher for performing faster than others. However, observation is necessary when performing manoeuvres so that you're making sure that it is safe at all times and getting the manoeuvre completed in the best way possible is the key to success.
